Growing up in a forested home overlooking the Oslo fjord in Norway, I grew a deep appreciation for integrating natural processes into architecture. As an architect, I am devoted to merging nature and human through design.
My academic journey led me to TU Delft, where I earned my bachelor’s and master’s degrees in architecture. Prior to that, I studied at La Trobe University in Melbourne and Noroff Vocational School in Oslo. My graduation project, “Arctic Symphony,” was a multidisciplinary exploration that merged architecture with performance, photography, and landscape. Inspired by the Arctic’s rhythms, it delved into themes of time, decay, and regeneration, culminating in a performance uniting architecture, dance, and music.
A formative experience was discovering a hidden pond near my childhood home in the Oslo fjord. Observing its subtle changes taught me to perceive time as a fluid force—a concept that permeates my work and drives me to create designs that embrace natural transformation.
Professionally, I bring over nine years of experience from Ebano AS/AKSIE AS, engaging in projects ranging from service industry design to custom stainless steel kitchen products. Currently, I lead a housing project, overseeing technical solutions and logistics, applying my expertise in both residential and industrial architecture.
In personal projects, I’ve designed functional structures like a garage, a chicken coop, and a garden layout for my family home, always blending natural elements with practical design. Incorporating drone photage and photogrammetry into my process allows me to create detailed 3D models that enhance my designs.
I’ve completed model-making commissions for the dean of the Faculty of Architecture at TU Delft, including a model showcased at the Venice Architecture Biennale 2023. As a co-founder of the research collective “Alternative Realities,” I explore sustainable and innovative urban design solutions by integrating natural processes into architecture.
Looking forward, I am excited to engage in projects that not only coexist with nature but actively celebrate and engage with it. I aim to craft meaningful, sustainable spaces that resonate deeply with both people and the environment, continuing to explore and innovate at the intersection of nature and architecture.
